Special Education Resources


Several laws protect the education rights of students with disabilities and their parents. These resources will help you learn about those laws and rights and provide you with links to resources in Wyoming if you need additional assistance.

Wyoming Parent Information Center

The Parent Information Center is sponsored by Parents Helping Parents of Wyoming, Inc., a non-profit agency whose mission is to help families become more active in their children’s learning and education, to serve and support children with and without disabilities through advocacy, education, and referral.

National Center for Learning Disabilities

Office for Civil Rights, U.S. Department of Education

The mission of the Office for Civil Rights is to ensure equal access to education and to promote educational excellence throughout the nation through vigorous enforcement of civil rights.

Legal Resources

Wyoming Children's Law Center

The Wyoming Children's Law Center is a non-profit organization founded in 2009 to advocate for the legal rights of children through policy advocacy, legal representation and education. Services include providing information, advice and if necessary, legal representation, to assert special education rights or assist children in expulsion hearings.
